We Provide Only High-Quality Soil for Your Lawn

North Idaho Landscape Supplies offers a variety of soil and compost you can choose from for your landscaping. Not sure what soil works best for your project? Contact our knowledgeable team for a free consultation!

Fill Dirt (Unscreened)
Fill dirt is soil that is generally used to structure the base levels and grades of your landscape, fill holes and more. This soil is often a compilation of organic and non-organic materials but it is not the best choice for quality plant growth.

Custom Blends
50/50, 3-way, 4-way
Blended soils are an excellent choice to boost the ability of your beds and lawns. Our 3-way Blend combines premium topsoil and a mixture of organic compost while our Nitro-compost is a fine choice where drainage is not an issue. Our 50/50 is our highest ratio of compost to dirt, using half organic compost and half premium topsoil. When you need a soil that facilitates water migration. Our 4-way Blend has the same mixture as our basic along with additional sand, which is perfect for lawns and turf.

Compost
Compost is the term used to describe decayed organic material used to enhance plant growth. At North Idaho Landscape Supplies, we offer two compost varieties:

Organic Compost
Made from natural and organic yard waste. Such as grass clippings, leaves and other organic components.

Nitro Compost
Nitro Compost comes from composted 90-year-old red fir bark. It is naturally acidic so it's good for acidic loving plants such as berries and tomatoes.

We also sell beautiful cedar garden boxes for your landscaping project! Call us for more information.

Calculating Your Need
Typically, landscape products are sold by the "cubic yard." That is a cube that's 3 feet on each side. Measure the length and width and depth of the area you need to fill. For example, your yard is 20' by 30' and you want to put in a 6" deep layer of topsoil. You would multiply: 20' x 30' x 0.5' (6" = half a foot). The total equals 300 cubic feet. There are 27 cubic feet in a cubic yard, so divide 300 cubic feet by 27 = 11.11 cubic yards.
